Dr. BENKHEDDA Abdelhakim

He is a lecturer and researcher at the École Normale Supérieure of Ouargla, Algeria. His research focuses on sedimentology, micropaleontology, paleoenvironmental reconstruction, Quaternary geology, and the evolution of continental and marginal marine depositional systems. His expertise includes ostracods, foraminifera, charophytes, and sedimentary facies analysis, with particular interest in the geological evolution of the Algerian Sahara and North Africa.  He has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in international journals and serves as a reviewer for several scientific journals in the fields of geology, sedimentology, and Earth sciences. He has participated in national and international research collaborations and scientific conferences, contributing to studies on stratigraphy, paleoecology, geochemistry, and sedimentary basin analysis. His current research integrates sedimentological, micropaleontological, and geochemical approaches to reconstruct ancient depositional environments and paleoclimatic changes. He is committed to maintaining high standards of scientific quality and integrity in scholarly publishing.  His specializations include Sedimentology; Micropaleontology; Quaternary Geology; Paleoenvironment; Ostracods; Foraminifera; Stratigraphy; Facies Analysis; North African Geology; Algerian Sahara.
